California Tennis Association for Underprivileged Youth

We empower youth in South Central
Los Angeles with the skills to play tennis and knowledge to navigate life.

Through a mix of 1-on-1 and group instruction, our students learn to excel on and off the tennis court. Our year round programming includes after school lessons, summer camps, tournaments, and community service activities. We tailor our programs for students who casually play and those who want to pursue the sport more seriously.

Our Organization

The California Tennis Association for Underprivileged Youth was founded by Richard Williams and Fred Williams. Over the course of 50 years, CTAUY has taught hundreds of students how to play tennis and excel in life.

CTAUY students have won tennis tournaments across the country, received scholarships to prestigious colleges and universities, had successful professional careers — and some have followed Coach Williams by becoming youth tennis coaches.
